Category A1 Rules For Motorcyclists
The rules for Category A1 are designed for those who want to ride small motorcycles. They have a maximum cylinder power of 35kW. They cannot be derived from vehicles of more than double their power.
The open drone operation category can be subdivided into three categories A1 through A3. You can fly drones with class label C0 or C1 in the A1 subcategory (fly over people) until January 2024.
A1
Category A1 is one of the three EASA drone categories that applies to aircraft with a maximum take-off weight (MTOM) of up to 25 kilograms. It requires a flight schedule and an account of flight as well as remote identification systems and geoawareness technology. The drone must remain in the view of the pilot. It is prohibited to fly over groups of people or in areas that are used for commercial, industrial or recreation reasons. The drone should stay within 120 meters.

A1 license holders can use two-wheeled mopeds as they ensure that their capacity of cylinder is not more than 125cc and their power-to-weight ratio is no more than 0.1 kg/kW. They can also drive motorcycles with the maximum capacity of 125cc as well as trikes and quad bikes as well as quad-bikes.

A2 allows you to fly drones with transitional capabilities that aren't yet CE-marked but have been modified to decrease the risk of collisions with other people. You will only be able to fly these drones with A2 until the 2022 deadline, after which they'll need to comply with the A3 regulations.
The A1 and A2 categories are designed to help you become a safe and confident motorcyclist. The number of lessons needed is contingent on your capability and the progress you are making in learning, however, you must complete a certain amount of special rides. Due to the limited availability of certified drones in this category, there are 'transitional' arrangements that allow non-certified 'legacy drones to operate in categories A1 and A2 for two years following the new EU regulations take effect. The drones of the past cannot be deliberately flown overhead of people and must be operated using an A2 CofC.
To operate a drone under this category, you must first complete the online test for identification of flyers and then pass a theory exam. In addition, you must declare that you have gained some practical knowledge of your drone and then submit an official declaration of competency. These requirements are similar to the driving licence system where a person who first obtains a licence for a less powerful vehicle category can gain easier access to the higher category.
A4
The DOH is currently preparing detailed guidelines that will be used in category A4. These guidelines will be in line with other operations and will include information such as the number of dressings that are changed each day. They will be presented to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infections (IATF-EID) and the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group. Before they are finalized the guidelines will be reviewed and ratified by both the DOH National Immunization Technical Advisory Group and the IATF-EID.
In this category, drones sporting an identification label for class C0 and C1 are permitted to fly within a distance of 50 metres from uninvolved people. This is a category with low risk, but strict precautions are still required to prevent incidents. Drones that are not classified in either A1 or A2 must have passed an additional test of theoretical knowledge to be operated in this subcategory.
This test is designed to assess your knowledge of the additional risks that are associated from flying drones in close proximity to people. The certificate of competence is awarded upon the successful completion of this test. The pilot must also maintain a minimum distance of 30 meters from any person who is not involved or 5 metres when flying in slow flight mode.
If you're looking to obtain a motorcycle licence, you must complete an amount of training lessons in order to take the theory test, and then pass the practical test. It is contingent on your age, skills and progress in learning. But, at least 12 lessons of 90 minutes are required to be completed.
