The official list below outlines reserved time periods - not exams that have been confirmed. Please confirm with your instructor whether or not the final exam for a course will be conducted during this time.

Before registering, make sure to review the Goethe exam guidelines and terms and conditions on each individual exam page. Also, be sure to register with the correct exam level.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator qualification tests. Check out the individual exam pages for more details regarding exam content, exam rules and conditions, and additional guidelines. Faculty can view their exam times through the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list with exam times for those courses that are required to take an exam as per NYSED regulations.  zasady egzaminu a1  for classes in the evening are scheduled during the regular class time of the final exams.

Registration



Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. It is important to keep in mind that the schedule for exams may change at any moment. This is why students should check with their instructors to make sure they have the correct date and time for their exam. Students should also make sure to print the official list and bring it with them for their exams.

In addition to the exam schedule, students should familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines, conditions and terms. These are available on the individual exam pages. Upon registration, students acknowledge that they agree to these conditions and terms.

Exam locations will do their best to accommodate students who have special needs. The nature and degree of these needs should be noted on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation from a doctor. In addition, the exam locations must respect confidentiality and be maintained.

If a student has three exams scheduled on the same day, it is suggested to contact their instructor or department to arrange an alternate exam. It is possible to take three exams on the same day. However, this could result in a lot of stress and can affect the quality. The professor may not be able give an opportunity to take a makeup test on a different day.

Students must review the course material prior to taking the exam and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that tests the ability to read, speak and write in German. The results of the test are presented using a scale ranging from A1 to C2. Students who successfully pass the test receive a Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate demonstrates the that they have achieved the level of A1 in their language. This level corresponds to the first level of the six-level scale of competence outlined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The examination is free of charge. Students are required to carry an official government ID to the test. If they do not present an acceptable photo ID will be disqualified from the examination.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to obtain the Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you will need to pay the examination fee. This is in addition to the course fees.
